Upside-down parade

Organiser: Gregorius von Geldensteen is the main figure in this parade. It is well known that he gets help funding the parade from some shady organizations that he works for once in a while.

Description:

Descending from lower nobility, Gregorius made his way up in the world, gaining money and power.

A local scout seemed to have problems with this rise in power and arrested Gregorius.

For some reason (money or simply justice?) the judge found the evidence in the case was not good enough and set Gregorius free.

Seeing this as an opportunity to get away with some things, Gregorius hatched a plan to get back at the scout.

He started building a statue showing the scout in a rather compromising pose and put that statue on a wagon. He showed this wagon during the festivities years ago during Founding Day. Since then it has grown out to a parade where the common people can question the acts of the state. So far Corvis officials haven't banned the parade yet as they are secretly hoping for some positive notes in it.

Currently it is a parade that lasts for 24 hours and crosses 2 districts. In these districts daily life isn't really possible due to the large number of contestants participating and trying to impress the onlookers, as it's a big competition for the best cart/wagon with the funniest statement.

Unknown to the crowd, Gregorius has recently begun to use the parade as a giant cover-up for smuggling forbidden products out of the city.

To gain more money Gregorius joined a smugglers guild. Soon after he was elected to guild master for his contribution in the increasing revenue of their activities.
