The Great Jack Toss

Organiser: Retired Commander Articus Marques, former member of the Corvis Engineering Battalion

Description: Jack Mechaniks and Jacks from all over Cygnar gather in this well renowned field right outside of Corvis (far enough from the actual city to assure safety for Corvis) The men and their machines gather to prove their metal, to see who can throw the coveted "Toss Rock" the farthest. The Games have been going on every year for the past 20 years, and the enchanted rock has survived every year of it. The games where derived from a Warjack platoon's siege training efforts, but when war died down and the siege warjacks became underused, the games where set into motion to keep them working. That is in the past now, and now Jacks of all types enter the arena to see how far they can toss the rock. The jack that can toss the rock the farthest and most accurately wins the coveted Jack Toss Trophy.  During the events there are many other smaller tests of might that go on, such as the Steel Splitting Match, and the Jack Wrestling Tournament.

Agenda:

8:00 am: Registration, All Jacks must have their commands for lethal force temporarily enchanted over with non-lethal force. And all jacks must be inspected for live ammunition.

9:00-10:00am: The Jack show: All of the jacks participating in any events are shown off to the crowd, and the Mechaniks that operate them show off their work.  It also is a time to show up coming Warjack technology.

10:00-1:00 pm: Jack Toss, The jacks participate in the main tournament.

2:00 pm: Steel Splitting and Wrestling Matches start.

3:00-5:00 pm: The Great Founding Day Feast.

6:00 pm: Fireworks Display and the Awards Ceremony.

7:00 pm: Closing Ceremonies.

Social crowd: People from all over the lands attend.  Mostly citizens of Gygnar attend the match, both Rhulfolk and Humans in great numbers.  Elves are rarely seen for this match is one that is too "brutish" for their taste. The Corvis aristocrats and the working class appear in great numbers, but tend to noticeably separate at all times.  People from other countries such as Khador are rarely seen, because they have similar ceremonies in their own countries.
