The Annual Dizzy Dwarf Bronze Empire Championships and Fredfest

Organiser: The Dizzy Dwarfs

Description: Several years ago a great tactician by the name of Morgan Davis ordered his personal staff to create a system to train the tactical insights of himself and his son.  One of his advisors came up with some kind of game named the Bronze Empires: all of the known military devices were represented by miniatures with a line of numbers called stats, and were placed on a game board (traditionally one of the beer barrels). The Game proved to be a great success as Morgan's son Julian grew out to be a just as keen and clever on the battle field as his father. The Game has travelled a lot lately, and has gotten in fashion with the Rhulfolk who try to replicate every known warjack in the proper scale.

On the other side of the event stands the Fredfest. This is a tradition from the village where Morgar originates. Every year they organise a competition to create the most daring and creative platter of the year. As ingredients the competitors (usually chefs in training) can use all that was left of the winter rations. The jury -mostly consisting out of chefs- will each taste one spoon and give the rest of the food to the crowd, thus serving the ill fortunate some food.  This event was held to celebrate the end of the winter, and the winner could not only state to be one of the best chefs, but also got the first pick when the harvest was brought in the next year.  Morgar is rumoured to have won the trophy 25 times in his hometown.

Agenda: The tent of Morgan opens when the rooster gives his first (and last) noise. The first Warlords will be expected to show when the bell strikes 10.  The games continue until late in the evening.

The Fredfest is an around the clock event, the judges will announce there winner late in the evening when the clock has sounded 7 bells.  After this the leftovers are far from finished, so the feast goes on.

Social crowd: It is a great mixed crowd, the people attending the Fredfest are some of the greater chefs from on and around the market, the people attending the Bronze Empire Championships come from all around Corvis and from all ranks of the society (only the figurines give away there social standing) But of course there are several classes in the game as well. Usually the people playing the big leagues are also the richer ones, except for Thinkers, a gobber who loves to make the miniatures and is rather good at playing the game as well.
