Organiser: The Innkeeper of the well known pub "The Mooing Cow" organizes an annual song contest known as Corvis Idol.
Description:
Every year on founding day, Burt Allzyncher, organizes a song contest on the bird market together with his childhood friend Deu.
On the market square in front of his tavern a big stage is build by the local theatre company of Deubiestalles (Yup, it's a gobber). Deu, who has a passion for music, competes every year (with his homemade bagpipes). Nobody suspects foul play behind this innocent amusement, to which every boy and girl with dreams of being famous looks forward every year.
Yet a devious plan is connected to it. Burt's son, Fritz Allzyncher, uses this song contest to enlarge his repertoire of stolen songs. Fritz is in charge of the band that sees to the musical accompany of the contestants. Thereby he gets his hands on the songs. Every year, after the song contest, Fritz happens to go on tour with the best songs of the oh so naïve contestants. He plans his tour in cities that aren't too close to Corvis. Burt has no idea of his son's foul plan.
The jury of the Corvis Idol usually consists of 4 people:
- Al Vis
- Moes Art
- Mel Fender
- And the well-known Marie Tumas (no family ties with Father Dumas)
Agenda:
8am: The tavern is open for registrations. Burt greets all the contestants and offers them a free drink and breakfast.
10am: The participants have rehearsals with Fritz his band. Usually this will last until somewhere in the afternoon.
7pm: Corvis Idol contest starts.
The closing of the contest will depend on the number of participants.
The winner will receive The Golden String Award, each year provided by Jonus Morpessa, one of the sponsors.
Social crowd: Mainly boys and girls in the middle of puberty and seem to be stuck there. Older men in their midlife crisis. Even older men and women remembering their youth with nostalgia.
