Organiser: 'Gentle Shadow' and 'Napping Cat'
Description: This event's conception happened during last year's week of the Founding. 'Gentle Shadow' and 'Napping Cat', members of Corvis' underworld, were amazed by how important celebrating Founding day was to the people of Corvis. Of special focus were the many opportunities Founding Day provided for Second Story men. Napping Cat felt celebrating the Founding was more important than burglary. The festival however, wasn't going to keep Napping Cat from lifting purses. How else would the ale be paid for?

Gentle Shadow bet Napping Cat that celebrating The Founding and burgling where not in conflict, Gentle Shadow vowed that everyone in Corvis would know of this. Gentle Shadow would say nothing more about the bet.
On the Night of The Founding Festivities, a 'flower of fire' (see Note below) was seen above the Sunbright Estate. The public believes the 'flower of fire' to have been a new addition to the Sunbright family's Founding Day ball. But the 'flower of fire' was actually Gentle Shadow's signal to Napping Cat that Second Story Men could indeed work and celebrate at the same time. To further prove the point Gentle Shadow, under the guise of a Sunbright family messenger, donated most of the stolen goods to various public institutions.
In the following months both thieves developed a plan to make the Sunbright Midnight more than a one man show. This year will be the first organized celebration. Whispers tell of more than 200 'fire flowers' being collected.
'Even the shadows should honour the Ten.' -Gentle Shadow
Note:
A 'flower of fire' is a contrivance that shoots a ball of sparks in to the air where upon reaching an unknown height will explode into a pre-designed pattern or shape.
Agenda:
- Months prior to Founding day: Gentle Shadow and Napping Cat will collect a large number of 'fire flowers' from various sources.
- Founding Day : drinking, betting, and boasting about which residences the 'fire flowers' will be shot from.
- 8pm: 'fire flowers' are distributed to participating parties.
- 8pm-11pm: 'Reap what you sow': Participating parties plant the 'flower of fire' on the roofs of building of their choice. This is also the easiest time to make donations on behalf of the chosen wealthy benefactor.
- 11pm-12am: 'Founders' Garden': Time that the 'Flowers of Fire' are set off
Of note this year is that the fire flowers have 'timers' (self igniting enchantments or mechanika) that were set to times between 11:30 and 12. The ignitions are staggered to allow for a truly brilliant show and give time to confirm what target was hit for gambling purposes.'
Social Crowd: All interested qualified persons. e.g. Second Story Men, etc.
