"So that's 8 plus 4 different screwdrivers, 4 metalworking hammers, 2 woodworking hammers, 8 different sets of pliers, 3 wire cutters, 5 monkey wrenches and a pair of super-precision pincers, and you're asking me if you can borrow my best kitchen knife to loosen those screws?"

"But it would be jusht perfect for the job!"

Informer: Emmer, on a mission impossible.

We've summarized every custom-made item our PCs have come across in the Iron Kingdoms.

Fabulous Fatburners

This is the stuff young noblewomen crave in their quest to be 'the prettiest of the party'. Of course none will admit its use as it's secretly bought by their servants.

This small metal phial consists of 10 pink-coloured tablets. The tablets have been made from herbs which stimulate the burning of fat and thus provide more energy. They lower the appetite and burn fat-cells which make them popular as a weight-loss supplement.

Take 1-2 tablets at an empty stomach and within 45 minutes you will notice the effect. Each tablet is active for 6 to 10 hours. Don't take more then 4 caps in 24 hours!

Rippen's Fabulous Fatburners is sold at Rippen’s Spice Garden, at the Quad in Corvis.

Fabulous Fatburners: Since herbalism isn't an exact science, it's a bit difficult to equally dose the small tablets. As such, 1 in 20 tablets will have one of the following effects: diarrhoea / tiredness / general illness caused by stomach problems. These discomforts will generally last one full day. The effect can be halved by a successful Constitution check against a DC of 15. The tablets will give the user a +2 bonus to all Constitution checks involving physical exercises (and make you look really fit and skinny while running from the town guards). Rippen charges 4 Crowns per phial. As he figures the good-looking and charming don't really need these tablets, he'll charge a 10% extra for every +1 Charisma bonus the buyer has (up to a maximum of 40%) and blame it on shortages, the new taxes on herbs or the downpours ruining the yield.

Rippen's Joyful Tears Potion

The potion gets its name from the joyful tears young and old lovers weep after a night with the imbiber of this potion.

It is made from a mixture of herbs which stimulate erotic feelings and contains a potent blend of traditional herbs. The active ingredients will intensify the act of love and stimulate the blood flow to certain parts of your body, so that a touch will be felt more intensely.

Take 2-3 sips at an empty stomach and within 45 minutes you will notice the effect. This can last 4 to 7 hours.

Rippen's Joyful Tears Potion is sold at Rippen’s Spice Garden, at the Quad in Corvis.

Joyful Tears Potion: There's an 80% chance the Tears potion will be available at Rippen's. When it's not, and Titus is asked about it, he'll act as if conspiring against the crown and informs the potential customers that for a small extra price (the adventurers are very well dressed and obviously connoisseurs, by the way), he might be able to get his hands on a vial. Such a container typically holds 3 uses and can be purchased for 25 shiny Crowns. (Except for Lovely Lucy, the Madam of the Velvet Gloves Club, who will get the Tears potion at a sharp discount, equalling Rippen's discount at her establishment).
When purchased (or otherwise obtained) there is an 85 % chance the Tears potion will actually work. (This is probably the reason why Rippen insists that one uses it with alcohol and body oil; both of which he sells incidentally...). When someone under the effect of the potion gets the feeling of being turned down for whatever reason - a refusal of access to some place, a turned down job offer, or even a simple 'No thank you' when offering someone a drink - strong emotions tend to surface, resulting in quiet sobbing in a corner to outright anger. A successful Will check (DC 15) is needed to negate this effect.

Rippen's Mental Mirroring Mix (Ayasca)

From the ogrun barbarians in the far reaches of Khador comes one of the most potent catalysts for expanded awareness yet discovered. Shamans know this medicine as Ayasca, a word meaning, ironically, "vine of the dead". Ayasca as a hallucinogenic substance does not properly refer to one single plant, but to a mixture of two very different species. There is no such thing as an Ayasca plant. As such, Ayasca is a psychedelic combination of plants which varies in potency according to the skill of its maker.

Ayasca is famous for the visions it generates and users seem to experience what they see as real. Furthermore, it induces and expands the hypnagogic or twilight state and at the same time keeps the individual awake and conscious.

Rippen's Mental Mirroring Mix is sold at Rippen’s Spice Garden, at the Quad in Corvis.

Mental Mirroring Mix: As Ayasca is a mixture of herbs, it can be ingested or simply mixed with tobacco and smoked. A typical batch of 20 grams will have 5 uses and will cost you 40 Crowns. Ayasca will grant the user a +1 bonus to all sense-related checks (smelling, tasting, listening, seeing, touching), but will induce a certain craving for food and snacks throughout the entire time the user is under the influence (1D4+1 hours). This bonus is cumulative with the number of uses, up to a maximum of 5, but taking more than three doses or taking one dose in combination with the Joyful Tears potion will put the character under the effect of a Major Image spell (PHB 252). The exact nature of the illusion is left to the DM.

Moon Dust

Moon Dust is collected after it falls from the wings of the beautiful Moonwing Moth (MN 128). Rippen managed to get his hands on a batch (2 doses) of Moon dust. Pay up 150 crowns and it's yours.

Moonwing dust is sold in very limited quantity at Rippen’s Spice Garden, at the Quad in Corvis.

Moon Dust: The exact effects of Moonwing Dust can be found in the Monsternomicon on page 128 under the header Combat.

Sowles Brew

"... brrr... *hips* ... emmmm .... brrrrew... Souls ... Sowles ... turning ... falling ... *hips* ... gonna be .... sssssoo ... sssick..... "

A very strong liquor served exclusively in The Buccaneer
Bass Inn. The recipe is a well-kept secret of innkeeper Gwenneth but rumours abound tell of a mixture of several highly alcoholic substances, spicy herbs, eggs, peat and some murmured whispers even mention frogspawn.
Sowles Brew is best served at room temperature and smells amazingly well. Gwen got the recipe from a mysterious fellow who refused to give his name and traded it for 3 bottles of liquor and a barrel of ale. After the trade, the stranger disappeared into the stormy night and was never seen again (neither were the 3 bottles or the barrel of ale for that matter).

Sowles Brew: After the second pint of Sowles Brew, characters are required to make Constitution checks vs a DC of 10. Each consecutive pint will increase the DC by 5. Failing a Constition check results in passing out; or in case of missing the target number by more than 10, throwing up and then passing out. Cask Imps inevitably go berserk when removed from a barrel of Sowles Brew. They attack whoever disturbed them and fight to the death. When drinking Sowles Brew, one is much more vulnerable to the Drunken Domination quality of the Cask Imp. Only 1 pint within the last hour is enough for the imp to try and take control and the Will save DC is increased to 18.
