In a Cygnaran port near the mouth of the Black River, an explosion has occurred. A group of steamjacks has been outfitted with rifles by mechaniks from the boats. A warjack is seen in the distance, but smoke from the explosion has the victims' vision blurred. |

In a Cygnaran port near the mouth of the Black River, an explosion has occurred. A group of steamjacks has been outfitted with rifles by mechaniks from the boats. A warjack is seen in the distance, but smoke from the explosion has the victims' vision blurred. .
- The rifles are outfitted in time, and the steamjacks are able to hold off the attackers until a civilian may get support from the Cygnaran army. The warjack is identified as a Menite 'jack. A small unit of infantry is with the warjack and manage to raid a ship. They get away while the warjack keeps the civilians busy. Two steamjacks are damaged beyond repair. A civilian arrives at Caspia and alerts authorities.
- The rifles are outfitted in time, and the warjack is identified as a Menite 'jack. A civilian is sent to alert Cygnaran officials, but is killed by Menite spies, suspecting such may happen. A small unit of infantry from accompanying the warjack raid a ship and escape. The warjack is eliminated by the steamjacks. No support from Cygnar arrives, and the port is looted by the Menite soldiers.
- The rifles are not outfitted in time, and the port is raided. The laborjacks and civilians are massacred. Menoth, the attackers, claim the port territory for themselves. A civilian manages to make it to Caspia, and Cygnar deploys their assassins and a Hunter Light Warjack to avenge the people of the Black River port.
