Pitch

The players have recently been recruited by the Sewer workers and Lamplighters Union (a smaller professional organization run along similar lines as the SIW... stats pending!) to act as 'troubleshooters' in the Corvis undercity.

The Troubleshooters are a special group that is used to clear 'problem areas' in the areas under Corvis... sometimes with Sewerjack support, but often relying only on their own abilities.

Alternatives

  • It's a WHAT?!?: The Troubleshooters have to track, hunt, and contain a “FoW experiment in bio-diversity” - an alchemically modified beastie of some sort, that may have been coming up through storm grates and eating passing citizens. Due to pressure from the Fraternal order of Wizardry (FoW), though, they're not able to use LETHAL force.
  • Down among the Dead Men: Intelligent undead (ghoul analogs called Ghola IMC) have been sighted in the sewers near the Great Northern Boneyard. The troubleshooters have to make their way through the connecting catacombs and eliminate the problem before it spreads.
  • Digging in the Dirt: A smuggling ring operating in the sewers near the south end of the Tongue have managed to stir up something old and evil, possibly having to do with Devourer worship. Players will have to balance their activities between tracking down the smuggling ring, and keeping whatever got awakened out of the public eye.
