A local farming community has been hit by uncommonly bad storms flooding fields, ruining crops and destroying several houses.

A local farming community has been hit by uncommonly bad storms flooding fields, ruining crops and destroying several houses.
- A local cleric is causing the storms and claims they are retribution from the gods as punishment for the villagers who let heretics live among them. He is slowly but surely gathering support to root out a local Thamarite cult and anyone else who doesn't share his views on religion.
Besides that, he hopes to use the situation to make a quick promotion to get out of "this dead end village" as he calls it.
- A druid living in the forests nearby is calling down storms on the village to punish them for cutting down a large part of the forest to make more room for fields.
- An arcane mechanic is working near the village on developing new lightning technology. The machines in his lab are responsible for the storms and the village just happens to lie in the path the storms travel after being created.
The arcane mechanic isn't aware of any of this however, he even specifically chose this remote location for his lab to avoid unnecessary damage to civilian property.
