One of the PC's has been framed. A string of particularly cunning thefts have taken place in his neighbourhood, and all the signs point to her.
A sometimes-friendly Watchman explains her options: she can have three days to prove that she's not the thief. If she can't prove it, the Watch will hunt her down and bring her in... and bad things will happen.
Someone that the party wronged, perhaps unknowingly, has decided to exact vengeance, and earn money in the process!
- Who knows what evil : The true thief is actually the shadowy head of a local criminal organization, and doesn't take kindly to some newcomer stealing his thunder.
- Mine Enemy, My Self : The Thief IS the character, suffering from the effects of a particularly powerful suggestion placed upon her by an unscrupulous mage.
- No one saw me do it! : The robberies are part of an elaborate confidence scam perpetrated by the four victims. The PC is a convenient fall-girl for their insidious plan.
